In December 2002 Percy Wood Caravan Park was purchased by Percy Wood Leisure Ltd., and subsequently renamed. Over night it became Percy Wood Country Retreat. This humble caravan park of one hundred static caravans and a small touring park was about to start its transformation into what it is now affectionately known as "Northumberland's Best Kept Secret." Set in the picturesque village of Swarland and boasting over 180 acres of beautiful natural wood and parkland, Percy Wood has some of the most dramatic views of the Simonside hills and many of the regions most elusive wildlife such as Red squirrels and Roe deer.
