Nature at Percy Wood Golf & Country Retreat

“Percy Wood is situated in a beautiful part of Northumberland and this provides an ideal location from which to explore the glorious north east coastline and other places of interest, i.e. Bamburgh, Alnwick, Holy Island and National Trust properties.

Having been an owner at Percy Wood for some eight years the peaceful and tranquil setting was the attraction, which allows me to spend quality time with my family.

The site itself is teeming with wildlife and there is still something quite magical about watching red squirrels and roe deer early on a morning as you have breakfast. There are also numerous birds which frequent the site during the year and the goldfinches and bullfinches have to be the prettiest.

Imagine relaxing on your decking with a glass of wine in your hand after a hard week at work, watching a kestrel or barn owl swooping down or listening to a woodpecker. This to me is what life is all about and even after eight years I still enjoy what these surroundings offer me.”
